Amanda Pena

Amanda Peña, Idaho Child Welfare Program Specialist, is The Department of Health and Welfare Director Richard Armstrong’s representative on the board.  Amanda has multiple years of experience working in the field of child welfare focusing on the assessment of child safety and working to support families in keeping their children safe. In her current role, she is responsible for supporting statewide child welfare staff and developing policies to guide and direct the services of the Idaho child welfare program. Amanda has held board positions with several local non-profit organizations and completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at Boise State University.
